Notes About Playing the HD DVD Version of DVE: HD Basics

For the most part, we found all HD DVD players provided an equal level of performance when playing the HD DVD of DVE: HD Basics.

For those who have their players set up for a 1080p/24 output you’ll probably have to reset the player’s video output to 1080p/60 in order to play the 720p/60 content. This is done in the player’s setup menu, in the Picture option.

Our current plan is not be player brand and model number specific in the information we provide beyond saying that the Sony Playstation 3 has been the easiest player to upgrade of all of the Blu-ray players we’ve tested.
